Widow Support Program
UVA runs Widow Support Programs to provide care, protection, and assistance to widows who face social, emotional, and economic challenges after the loss of a spouse. Many widows struggle with financial insecurity, lack of employment opportunities, and limited access to basic services. UVA works to support them with dignity and compassion.
Through these programs, UVA provides financial assistance, food and ration support, healthcare aid, and education support for widows’ children. The initiative also promotes skill development and livelihood opportunities to help widows achieve financial independence and self-reliance. Emotional support and community engagement are encouraged to reduce isolation and strengthen confidence.
Special attention is given to widows from low-income families and marginalized communities who lack social security or stable income sources. With the help of volunteers and community partners, UVA ensures transparent and respectful delivery of support.
By empowering widows and addressing their immediate and long-term needs, UVA helps them rebuild their lives, protect their families, and move forward with hope, stability, and dignity.
