Small Business & Micro-Support Programs

Small Business & Micro-Support Programs

UVA runs Small Business and Micro-Support Programs to help economically disadvantaged individuals start or strengthen income-generating activities. Many people have the skills and motivation to work but lack the financial resources, tools, or guidance needed to build a sustainable livelihood. UVA addresses this gap by supporting small-scale entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals.

Through this program, UVA provides assistance such as seed support, tools and equipment, basic resources, and guidance for small business development.

The initiative focuses on daily wage earners, women, youth, and low-income families seeking to become financially independent. Training and mentoring support help beneficiaries manage their businesses effectively and grow with confidence.

By encouraging micro-enterprises and self-employment, UVA helps reduce unemployment, improve household income, and strengthen local economies. The program emphasizes dignity, self-reliance, and long-term stability rather than dependence on aid. Through community involvement and volunteer support, UVA continues to empower individuals to build sustainable livelihoods and achieve economic resilience.
